Will Live Photos or burst shots convert fully?
Only the primary still image converts. The motion frames and embedded thumbnail inside a Live Photo are ignored.
Does the photo come out the right way up?
Yes. The photo's built-in rotation is applied automatically during decoding, so portrait shots aren't sideways.
Does this support the newer 48-megapixel iPhone photos?
Yes. HEIC sources have a 50-megapixel budget, compared with 40 megapixels for other image formats, to support the iPhone's full-resolution "HEIF Max" photos.
Does this work with HEIC photos from Android or other phones?
