Privacy at Local File Tools

Your files never leave your device for processing. This page explains what happens inside the browser, what Local File Tools does not collect, and what basic request information the web host receives when it delivers the site.

Your files

Every image conversion, resize, metadata removal, PDF merge, PDF split, and PDF render happens on your device. There is no application server, conversion API, or upload endpoint that receives the contents of the files you select. The site is delivered as static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and supporting browser assets.

Browser memory and downloads

Selected files and generated results are held temporarily by the open browser tab. Preview and download links are released when they are replaced, removed, or no longer needed. Closing the page clears the tab's working state; files you deliberately download remain in the download location you chose on your own device.

Tracking and analytics

Local File Tools runs no analytics or tracking pixels and sets no cookies of its own. It does not require an account, so file activity is not attached to a user profile. Fonts are bundled with the site rather than requested from a third-party font provider.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's edge servers see the standard request metadata needed to deliver a page over HTTPS: your IP address, browser user agent, and the page you requested. This is the same information received by any website you visit. That metadata is infrastructure-level and out of this project's hands; nothing beyond it is collected, and none of it ever includes the contents of a file you process here.

Verify it yourself

This is an open-source project. Rather than ask you to trust this page, the source for every tool is public. See the About page for the repository link.
